Matt Dugger

Matt Dugger is a seasoned professional in the funeral service industry with over two decades of experience specializing in preneed sales and support. A 1998 graduate of John A. Gupton Mortuary College in Nashville, TN, Matt became a licensed funeral director in 1999. After spending several years serving families on the at-need side of funeral service, he transitioned into a full-time preneed counselor role in 2005—a move that would define the next chapter of his career.

With an impressive track record as a Million Dollar producer for over 18 consecutive years, Matt has dedicated most of his preneed career to supporting funeral homes along the East Coast of North Carolina. In 2024, he returned to his roots in East Tennessee to be closer to family and accepted a position with Bolton Concrete, a franchisee of the Wilbert Vault Company, as Director of Sales and Customer Service.

While he valued his time in the vault and concrete side of the business, Matt’s true passion remained in helping funeral homes grow their preneed programs and better serve their communities. In January 2025, he joined IFPA as a Regional Partner, where he brings his extensive industry knowledge, a strong sales background, and a genuine commitment to helping independent funeral homes enhance their marketing, sales, and aftercare efforts.

Matt’s personal journey is as heartfelt as his professional one. He met his wife, Angela, in a unique and touching way—at her grandmother’s visitation in 1996 while they were both still in high school. Married now for over 25 years, they have two daughters, Madison and Sarah. Outside of work, Matt enjoys spending quality time with his family, traveling, and hitting the golf course whenever he gets the chance.
